We are looking for a

Senior Frontend Engineer

to help take Groweo® to the next level.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the product experience for our customers. You’ll work closely with product designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver beautiful, performant, and scalable user interfaces. You’ll be a key voice in architectural decisions and a mentor for other frontend developers as we continue to grow our engineering team.

The role is based in our central Helsinki office, where you'll work closely with the rest of the product team. Once you get accustomed to our stack and ways of working, you can transition to a hybrid model if you want (one remote day per week). We offer a 4 day work week as a benefit, so you can have a long weekend every week.

Please note: To qualify for this position, you need to be located in Finland with working permit. We do not offer relocation or visa services at this moment.

Who you are:

You are a seasoned SaaS development professional with +5 years of experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications and proven track record in building modern web applications.

You have excellent communication skills in English, and you’re comfortable with communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You have a strong product thinking mindset – you care not only about what we are building, but also the why. Working in an agile, fast-moving environment is familiar for you, and you already know that you excel in the constant change of a scaling SaaS company. You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and you demand the same from your peers and team.

Your day-to-day work will consist of the following:

• Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript etc.)
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate product ideas into exceptional user experiences
• Drive architecture and component design decisions with scalability, performance, and maintainability in mind
• Improve frontend infrastructure — including build systems, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to design systems and component libraries that ensure consistency across the product
• Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions
• Stay ahead of industry trends, champion best practices, and advocate for a strong frontend culture within the team

In order to excel in this role you have…

• Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Advanced knowledge of React (including Hooks, Context, and component architecture best practices).
• Experience with build tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar).
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (a11y), and cross-browser compatibility.
• Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON data structures.
• Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code and review code from peers with a senior eye.
• Proven track record of shipping production-grade features for SaaS applications.

Your experience & tech stack includes…

• JavaScript / TypeScript
• React
• Node.js (understanding of backend integrations and deployment)
• CSS-in-JS / Tailwind / shadcn / Styled Components / SASS
• API integration (REST, GraphQL is a plus)
• Testing frameworks: Jest, Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright
• Git and modern CI/CD workflows
• Cloud hosting experience (e.g., AWS, Vercel)

You’ll get extra points for having…

• Experience with design systems (e.g., Storybook or custom component libraries).
• Performance optimization in complex UIs.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.
• Experience working in a fast-scaling startup or SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with analytics instrumentation and A/B testing frameworks.Exposure to backend development with Node.js or serverless architectures.
